ALERT:  CARES ACT Provider Relief Fund Application Deadline July 20

Maryland Medicaid providers are encouraged to apply by the July 20 deadline even if they are uncertain if they are eligible.

ALERT:  COVID-19 Federal Provider Relief Payments Available

On June 9, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) announced the distribution of $15 billion in additional relief funds to eligible Medicaid and CHIP providers. Funds will be available to providers who have not received a payment from the Provider Relief Fund General Allocation under the CARES Act

HHS is overseeing all provider applications and fund distributions. Providers must apply using the HHS Provider Relief Fund Portal.  More information about eligibility and the application process is available at

ANNOUNCEMENT:  Register Now​ for HHS Webcast Getting started with the Provider Relief Fund for Medicaid and CHIP Distribution

​The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is hosting a webcast, Getting started with the Provider Relief Fund for Medicaid and CHIP Distribution​, on Tuesday, June 23 and again on Wednesday, June 24 from 2-3 pm for providers to learn more about the application process. Registration is required.

New ICD-10-CM Code for COVID-19​
The Maryland Department (MDH) will follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance for the new ICD-10-CM​ code for COVID-19. Pay attention to the beginning, effective and end dates.​
When billing the Diagnosis Code to MDH, use CAPITAL alpha characters, and do not include a decimal point.​
