RECENT UPDATES

- EHR Incentive Program Update

Please be on the lookout in future correspondence for the Maryland Medicaid Environmental Scan Survey.

The Maryland Department of Health (MDH) is conducting a health information technology environmental scan survey to gather information about the adoption, meaningful use, and interoperability of electronic health records systems, the Health Information Exchange (HIE) capabilities/interests, and the Health IT landscape in Maryland. The survey is also part of required closeout activities for the Maryland Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program. This program helped fund health information technology for eligible providers to purchase and adopt EHR technology and offered some incentive payments. MDH would like to gain information and insights regarding your experiences and perceptions about the EHR Incentive Program.

The online survey is expected to open Wednesday, May 12, 2021, and will remain continuously open until it closes on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. We encourage you to complete the survey once it is available.
